Kaitlin is a licensed engineer in seven states and a Lighting Certified professional. She brings over 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, specializing in lighting design, in a variety of project types including healthcare, higher education, research and life sciences, government, commercial, and more. She is an adjunct professor at Maryville University, Vice Chair of the IES/ANSI Standard Publication RP-30 committee, and a Board Member for the Illuminating Engineering Society’s local section. With over 30 national and local speaking engagements, she consistently kindles passion for evidence-based design.

PROJECT CRICKET
WINCHESTER, VA
Served as the electrical engineer for electrical design services during the phased expansion and remodel of an existing 89,900 SF cardboard warehouse into a dairy processing facility.
DRURY INN & SUITES
NATIONWIDE
Served as electrical engineer responsible for power, systems, and lighting in multiple Drury Hotel locations nationwide. Also worked with the owner and general contractor team to establish a standard prototype design and create design documents with means and method documentation, including in deck conduit routing to support a narrow ceiling plenum tolerance.
WASHU - WHITAKER HALL BIO-ROBOTICS LAB*
ST. LOUIS, MO
Served as Electrical Engineer. Responsible for power, lighting, and low voltage, and A/V systems design. Designed dynamic lighting to help entrain day/night cycles for locust. In this ground-breaking new laboratory, engineers surgically implant neural monitors into the brains of locusts that allow researchers to monitor when the insects encounter certain odors. This technology was funded by the Office of Naval Research for the potential to sniff out explosives in remote areas. Unused space in Whitaker Hall was converted into a lab that allows researchers to observe the locusts in fight and train them for their work.

Served as electrical engineer responsible for power, systems, and lighting for a creative open office. Performed daylighting calculations for the large open atrium.

2.3M SF project area. Served as an electrical designer for power design. Reported as the world’s biggest construction site, this monumental complex aims to serve an estimated 30 million passengers yearly.

Renovation of the existing club including banquet, dining, locker rooms and bars. Lead Electrical engineer for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for a phased country club to provide an exceptional member experience within an economical budget.
WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE*
ST. LOUIS, MO
Served as Electrical Engineer for developing a master plan for the 270-bed hospital. Designed passive, sustainable, and renewable energy resources to combat municipal rolling blackouts and pre-design surgeries by cell phone light. Responsible for power and lighting design.
FULTON STREET TRANSIT CENTER*
NEW YORK, NY
Served as electrical designer for power and systems design. Project spanned transportation, retail, national registered historic building renovation (Corbin Building), and new addition work, and is credited as the first subway station to receive LEED Silver certification. With up to 300,000 daily customers, Fulton Street Transit Center is the busiest transit hub in lower Manhattan.
